| JT SPECIAL EVENTS |
| The following is a brief list of special events we hold for close friends and active “Johnny Tastebuds” enthusiasts. Anyone who would like to be notified of these events must sign up to be on our mailing list by simply emailing use your name, phone, and email address. Only those on the current email list will be notified of these special events which include: |
| Scout Dinners: |
| Scout dinners are designed to check out a restaurant’s food and cooperative attitude before having an official “Johnny Tastebuds” adventure. I usually get to the restaurant early and order four courses consisting of 2 entries each. Upon arrival I select 2 bottles of wine (out of the approximately 15 I’ve brought along) that I think will go with the selections. In this way we usually are able to sample approximately 8 menu selections and 8 wines in an effort to determine what wines go with what foods. A 20.00 per person fee is charged to cover the costs of the wine and the bill is split equally among all the attendees. If you have a favorite or what seems to be an exciting restaurant you would like to check out please email me. The maximum number of people is 10-14. Any more than that makes if difficult for everyone to sample each of the wines. |
| Trade Wine Tasting: |
| Wine tasting events are often offered by trade organizations, wine distributors, wine stores, and producers for no or low cost. I will try to email some of these events to current email subscribers. |
Private BYOB Dinners: |
| Sometimes it’s nice just to go out with a group of people and enjoy each others favorite wine at one of the “JT” restaurants. At these occasions everyone just brings their favorite wine and the bill is split equally among all participants. |
