The Legend of Johnny Tastebuds
Long ago there was a man whose solitary mission was to seek out the most unique, exciting, and adventurous flavors he could find. His quest took him to unlikely destinations and implausible combinations. In time, after he had developed a method to his madness, he began to share his obsession with friends he thought were crazy enough to join him on his journey. He shared with them his passion for extra-spicy, super-authentic Sichuan food paired with wines from his personal cellar. Year after year he enlightened the palates of those lucky enough to be invited to what he called “Spicy Club.”

He finally realized that there was a yearning among the people for wine and food pairings that challenges convention and for a scene that provides a fun and easy-going learning experience about wine. It became apparent that it was his duty to share Spicy Club and his tried-and-true wine pairing knowledge with the world.

What We Do
Please join us on one of our adventures designed to be casual, fun, informative, satisfying, and a great value. Sign up for one of our Wine Dinners at a reasonably priced and exotic restaurant, Wine Tastings, or Wine + Food Pairing Classes. As we improve our Web site for you in the near future, you can also join us online and participate in discussions and contribute to lists of your favorite great new wines, wine friendly restaurants, and recipes.

Wine Dinners
Most of our restaurant meal adventures are served family-style to encourage discussion with new and interesting people. Family-style dinners also allow you to try a variety of dishes and wine combinations, giving you the most value. Our Wine Dinners are very reasonably priced. Food and wine will always be plentiful at our dinners, unlike many of the more high-end wine dinners where you walk out thirsty, hungry, and broke. Occasionally we host Wine Dinners that feature ultra-premium, rare, or cult wines.

Wine Events
We also organize private and corporate events such as wine tastings and fully catered private dinners. From time to time we also have guest lectures at our events as well as fun events at dramatically reduced costs open to our regular members.
